Since I asked Uzume, I should ask you, but I was wondering if you would come trick or treating with me and my friend. I thought it could be fun as a group and you can be the supervisor.

[An unsigned letter attached to a gift box with reads:]

We've never met before, but I looked around for something to get you as a gift, and since I've seen you at the library before, I thought that books would be a good gift. I don't really know if you'll like them, but I hope you do. Merry Christmas!

[Inside the box are three different fiction novels of different genres!]

[Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It is a time of generosity, and so Vietnam would like to share some food that one can share with family and friends. A basket will be discovered on your doorstep containing some bánh quy bơ quế (butter cookies with the best Vietnamese cinnamon she can get her hands on), and an assortment of mứt (candied fruit preserves) for the New Year. She's hoping some will be good with alcohol! A card is included:]

[ Uzume is as good at dates as counting. Both involve numbers after all. So he's off by a few days, and he hasn't really thought about it. But oh well.

He jumps onto the bed, landing on top of Chouza, a soft wrapped package in his arms. The puppy is close on his heel. ]

[There is a knock on your door Chouza. It' kinda quiet though like it's not quite sure they should knock or knock but they did it anyways and if no one hears it that's fine.

Chouza? The President has said that he wishes to work at Iwai-zake as well. Is that alright?

[ When Uzume gets the cookies, he doesn't bother with any reading before he starts eating. While he eats, he goes to look for Chouza. He's almost 30, he knows he's not super great at reading now (he's grown SOME these past ten years, promise), and Chouza likes reading anyway. Uzume does not. ]

[ Ah, the joys of buying presents for total strangers. A minimal amount of research had turned up enough info on Chouza for Makoto to at least take a good guess at a nice, safe, Santa-y present.

Uzume has a lot of things prepared. The first is a big soft package, with one, two, three items.

The other thing is a carton with one, two, kinds of alcoholic cupcakes, luckily not homemade. And they're not even very sweet. ]
